Melissa in - weedad out
i arrived Monday night minutes before 8 pm .Bill and Jean were watching Tv i went in and said hi and reminded them that i will be there for the night until Monday afternoon. they went to bed fairly early @ 915.It was a pretty quite night except for jeans occasional talking.
Tuesday - bill woke up @ 7 am , and jean got up @ 8.
Rooms were cleaned , beds were made linens were changed ,and laundry done .
I called the hand doctor (dr.thull) ,and gave him the number of point one patient care, so that they can deliver her hand brace.
Breakfast was oatmeal, plains donuts, danish, coffee for bill and juice for both fresh water and pills. immediately after breakfast jean went into a frenzy packing the other 80 items that were not packed,what was packed was more than sufficient.we were in and out of her large closet for about 3 hours , literally! jean was getting realy angry because she wasn't able to reach ,and or grab the items on her own.i stayed with her the entire time helping her.she ran the gamut with the additional shoes(15 pairs) purses, and clothing that she wanted out/packed/or moved.Also jean had me pack and unpack her phone books 3 times and told me that she wanted to take them on the plane so that she can transfer them for the 3 old phone books to the new one additionally she had some other books that she wanted to bring on the plane(they are pretty heavy and bulky when all together.I reminded jean that the flight is only a hour.
finally she decided to take a brake , during which time i gave her a thoural shower and scrubbed her well, deodorized .powdered and dressed her .ruth arrived about noonish ,while i was showwering jean, she spent the next hours doing the pills ,and helping with the rest of the packing. I helped jean pack her jewlery.
The dishwasher is broken ,i called sears and gave them all the pertinent information, i was told that it is no longer under warranty.they told me that we get a new one which would be for a year.i told them what the problem was and of the missing parts and was told that it would be covered under the warranty , and that they could send someone before 5 pm today.
we got a new warranty for the dishwasher,it will cover todays repair and is good for 1 year.The cost was $194 and was charged to the mastercard. The conformation #is95619397
The repair guys arrived about 1:15 , but after the mountain of dishes was hand washed.LOL.The reapair men said that we need some parts and will be back on the 13th in the afternoon.Ruth and i packed up the car.

Bill and Jean both woke very late today. 930am.
Made breakfast.
Cereal, Danish, Toast/Jam, Coffee, Juice. Hard Boiled egg (for bill)
Cleaned breakfast dishes. Dishwasher still not working. Had to wash all dishes by hand.
Maria came by @ 12pm. Starting cleaning upstairs in the kitchen. Got Jean ready for the hand dr appt. Showered, dressed.
Made lunch
Egg salad sandwich
chips
spinach dip
drinks
Charlae was here @ 2pm to sit with Bill
Took Jean to Dr thull. The appt took no more than 30min including all of the paper signing. Dr looked at tht ehand and wrote a prescription for a resting hand splint. Will call the dr office in the morning with the phone number for one point patient care so they can fax the perscription.
After took Jean to Starbucks. Beauty Brands. Picked up dinner @ KFC. Took Jean to Johnson bank, by the time we walked to the doors the lady locked and said they were closed and could not help. Jean was absolutly furious. Then took her to B of A, she withdrew $2k from the drive thru. She has all money in her wallet. Divided everything into sections. She has complete control, and excitted about it. Counted the money about 3x already, and had me count another 3 times.
Maria left, charlae had bill write maria a check for her services. A vase/jar was broken. Jean said no biggy, but i could tell she was upset.
Brought her home. Changed, washed up, relaxing. 6pm prepared dinner
Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, pies. Both relaxing back in their bedrooms watching the rain come in.
Am leaving early because today is my anniversary. Melissa should be coming in soon to cover the rest of my hours.

Very pleased to see that most of the packing has been completed for the trip. Jennifer did an excellent job packing everything. Monday night we shouldnt need much more packing.
Lunch was done and cleaned up dishes. Got Bill and Jean ready. We have dinner plans with the family at the Chart House @ 5:30pm.
4:45pm Jean was all ready to go and heading towards the car.
Made it to the restaurant by 5pm. Skip, Joan, and Chris already there. Dinner was very long. Even the family noticed that the service took exceptionally longer than usual. Jean had crab claw martini. Bill had grilled shrimp and a baked potato. Everyone had dessert.
Made it home by 730pm. Drove B/J down doubletree road, they love looking @ scenery instead of just straight there and back.
Changed clothes, washed up for bed. All pills given, given late because Jean had alcohol with dinner. Lights out @ 930pm
Bill and Jean both slept well through the whole night.

Hi Ladies...thanks for the blogging. It helps. The dishwasher? It IS covered under warranty with Sears. I just paid for it. *grin* You can call anytime and get it fixed. The reference number is 480-949-1275 and the backup number is 602-956-1284.

7-27-07 friday morning - afternoon from melissa
Bill got up @ 7 am he got his own orange juice , which was poured in the fridge waiting for him as usual , jean got up about 930.
BRAKFAST- was cream of wheat(jeans request) , hot bannana nut muffins , juice , fresh water,and coffee for both, yes jean too , with cream for her. and a boost for bill.She requsted some but only drank about 10% of it. Rooms were cleaned , up and down stairs, linens changed , did 2 loads of laundry ,cleaned up brakfast dishes and kitchen, then got jean ready for charlea. Charlea arrived @11 and massaged Jean , and then worked on bill, he has been liking to get a massage too lately.after the massage jean took her afternoon nap and bill watched tv , dosing off occasionaly.
LUNCH- per jeans request was tuna salad, with chips. @ 2pm jennifer arrived , minutes after maria the house keeper called to say that she was having car trouble and that she was stuck @ her previous clients house, she resheduled for monday.

Spent most of Saturday packing, i think I accomplished alot however there is a great deal of organizing and labeling that needs to be done at the pack party lol.
dishwasher is really finicky, it works then locks then i undo it and it works, I called Sears kenmore its not under warranty and the guy said it sounds like a computer panel which is expensive, 220 for the panel and 80 for the service call, he said they have ones on sale now for 250-350 new, may want to check with the family.
Bill and Jean up really early 645, by 730 they had breakfast
eggs, toast, oj/apple/ donuts/ coffee/pills
One point patient care came last night with 13 bottles of pills
I opened them and double checked them

Arrived Friday at 130pm, melissa had B/J lunch ready from what food we have left here. House all picked up.
Called Excu car via Camelback travel, made reservation for Melissa and B/J to be picked up on the 8/1 and for Ruth and B/J to be picked up from the sky harbor, confirmation in the Was gmail account.
Maria called will come on Monday at 1230, explained that Jean has an appt and she said she always works any at Joans house anyhow.
Wedad has appointment for Hand splint for jean.
Jean insisting that her and Ruth have an appt to go to Jcrew, on Tuesday. So fyi Ruth she thinks your going out to Jcrew on tuesday, I dont know how your gonna manage it if I have to get the car on Tuesday, and the car should be primarily packed.
Okay .... called skip/joan about money for trip over, Bill and Jean wanted and I quote " hmm i think 5000k ought be okay" so i explained that 5000k was ALOT, and that it was too much. I wish I had checked earlier in the day, I would have taken them to Johnson bank, Maybe Monday if wedad can or Tuesday Melissa can.. I don't know but, you can go to Johnson bank and take out 2000-2500 should be more than plenty.
we always come back with extra anyhow, that we put in Petty cash.
Okay, so I started packing...................hmmmmmmmm a feat in itself . I got Bill done 100% I hope! and Jean's beauty products and all the makeup done! I will attempt to start the shoes and clothes .. if I have the energy.

I arrived @ 3pm Ruth filled me in on what has been going on ,and told me that Maria will be coming tommorow afternoon.Jonn arrived @ 3:15 he worked out with jean for quite some time, during the workout jonh, jean , and i were discusing her hand that has been affected by the stroke , jonh suggested that she get a splint/breace to help keep her and open , reduce further contracture of thAT hand. Jean thought that perhaps her foot doctor Dr.cambell could make her a hand brace , jean was very much wanting to get in to see her before Rancho.i called dr cambells office they said that they did not do hands, but gave me a refferance of someone who does. I called to see how soon that they could get jean in.she has a appointment for monday the 30th @ 2:30.they also have braces and splints in the office.his name and information is as follows;

Dinner was a casual meal pf chicken fingers and organic julianed french frys with sea salt , jean had a piece of choclate cake (the fancy heart cake), and bill had a oatmeal pie cookie and somefig newtons. I helped jean wash up for bed, and put on her nightie.fresh water and night pills turned down beds, cleaned kitchen,ect.the normal routine.bill and jean went to bed @ 940.
Jean talked only a bit in her sleep.new baby monitor went through a serries of crackling nad poping noises all night,i felt like i was on the set of a darn rice crispies commercial, with retakes all night.the old Monitor was much better in my opinion.bil up @ 1230,3,530 for potty braks,jean slept soundly through the night.

July 25th was a quiet day. After lunch the rain and thunderstorms rolled through, Jean came out to the kitchen with me and read some Oprah magazines. She asked me to make her some hot chocolate, the only thing we had to make it with was the Abuelita mexican chocolate bars. I made her Mexican hot chocolate and she loved it. While she sat reading I began to prepare dinner. I decided to make the lobster tails and crab cakes that Bill received for his birthday. I read all the instructions thoroughly and decided to boil the lobster tails instead of broil.
Dinner turned out well, but I had more luck with the Omaha steaks than I did with the lobster. I boiled the tails for 5 minutes, when the instructions said 9, but those little suckers are hard to get out of their shells when they are piping hot. The meat was firm but not rubbery, and the crab cakes also turned out well. Made biscuits and corn as sides. Dessert was strawberry shortcake with the left over biscuits and chocolate cake for Jean.
After dinner, both Bill and Jean returned to their room, tired of CNN's 24hour reporting on the plight of Lindsay Lohan, they asked me to put a DVD in. I tried to get them to watch a Street Car named Desire, that we received from Netflix, but Bill was having none of that. We settled for a Jimmy Stewart film called something St. Louis. Movie was over at 10pm and then lights out. By 1am both Bill and Jean were awake, Jean talking in her sleep, Bill to potty.
Bill up at 7:30, TV on, he got his own OJ and turned the outside lights off.
Breakfast at 9:30- French Toast and poached eggs. Pills, water, juice for Jean, newspaper.
**Notes**
1. I will call the pharmacy and ask them to make a delivery by Monday, so that I can fill 2 more boxes of pills. We have enough to get us through August 9th, but to be safe I would like to take an extra weeks worth of boxes. Will also order another case of Depends.
2. If anyone has any suggestions of movies that BiLL and Jean would like to watch please, list them here.
3. Lynn has 3 shirts that I dropped off last week to have the sleeves chopped off, if anyone is out this weekend, can you please pick them up otherwise I will try to remember by Tuesday.
4. I still don't know if I can make it to the pack party or work for Wedad on Monday, I will know for sure tomorrow and will post here to let Wedad know. I also just talked to Melissa and she may be willing to do it if I can't. I will call both when I know for sure.

Bill was up at 7:15am, Jean still sleeping.
Breakfast: corned beef hash, hash browns, scrambled eggs, english muffin and banana nut muffins I brought from home. Bill read the paper, while Jean slept.
Changed the sheets on Bill's bed, washed the sheets and his favorite pillow, was looking quite greasy.
10:15am Fleming's pest control was here to spray the house.
10:40 am Jean finally awake, up to potty. Helped her with her robe and slippers out to the kitchen for breakfast.

Ruth in/Wedad out
Wedad informed me of what has been happening here at the house. She called me before I got to work to ask me to bring some Tums for Bill, b/c he was completely out. I got the largest size Walgreens' had, should last him for a couple of weeks.
House was quiet, nothing on the schedule for this week.
I happened to stop by a Pier One in Mesa over the weekend and found the small asian bowls that Jean had been searching for. I bought the last three that they had and gave them to her. She was quite happy with my find and we set them on the table. I love the little balls that Jennifer and Jean found at Kirklands', they are tres cute.
I asked Bill and Jean what they would like to have for lunch. Jean requested the tuna salad that Wedad had made Monday. We were out of grapes and rasberries, so I made due with the strawberries and peaches on hand. Rest of the afternoon was quiet.
Dinner- chicken and red bean gumbo. Bill did his Tuesday night routine and said "I am not in the mood for a big meal tonight can I have some cereal." This is the 4th Tuesday in a row he has asked for cereal instead of what I cook. He ate his cereal and then went back to his room. Jean sat at the table for awhile reading catalogs and a Marie Claire magazine.
After dinner, I gave Jean a shower. Applied lotion to her body and put neosporin on the burn marks she received from Dr. Lesueuer. She said they were becoming quite itchy, and she knew she shouldn't scratch at them. Helped into her nightie. Fresh water and bedtime pills for both. Lights out at 10:30pm
The new monitors from Target are no good. The one downstairs was crackiling and beeping for a good portion of the evening. I moved it to the table near the stairs. Still crackiling but not as badly. I turned the volume full blast so I could hear if they called during the night. Jean was talking in her sleep about Nidal and having her teeth done in Hawaii.

I asked Bill and Jean what they would like to have for lunch. Jean requested the tuna salad that Wedad had made Monday. We were out of grapes and rasberries, so I made due with the strawberries and peaches on hand. Rest of the afternoon was quiet.
Dinner- chicken and red bean gumbo. Bill did his Tuesday night routine and said "I am not in the mood for a big meal tonight can I have some cereal." This is the 4th Tuesday in a row he has asked for cereal instead of what I cook. He ate his cereal and then went back to his room. Jean sat at the table for awhile reading catalogs and a Marie Claire magazine.
After dinner, I gave Jean a shower. Applied lotion to her body and put neosporin on the burn marks she received from Dr. Lesueuer. She said they were becoming quite itchy, and she knew she shouldn't scratch at them. Helped into her nightie. Fresh water and bedtime pills for both. Lights out at 10:30pm
The new monitors from Target are no good. The one downstairs was crackiling and beeping for a good portion of the evening. I moved it to the table near the stairs. Still crackiling but not as badly. I turned the volume full blast so I could hear if they called during the night. Jean was talking in her sleep about Nidal and having her teeth done in Hawaii.

Bill up @ 9:30am (WOW). NO JOKE, probably because of the rain outside, everything was darker than usual.
Gave Bill his OJ/newspaper. Bill asked for poached eggs for breakfast. Jean agreed.

*PS- from 7/22. I worked on the grocery order for most of the day from when i came in till 11:50pm. I worked a little @ a time since I can not sit and devote a large amount of time to it. Something was wrong with the site, kept giving me error messsages. When i finally click on checkout-said my order was not large enough for delivery. Only had 1 item in cart. So, I tried!!!
Jean talked through most of the night, and Bill woke up practically everytime to tell her that she is dreaming and needs to get some sleep.

FYI : HouseKeeping or any house appts
Just a little FYI for all
Maria came by today at 7:45am, first time really early-a whole day and 15mins. I had her on the calendar for tomorrow 7/24. I sent her home because Jean had told me before that she does not like people doing work in the house (unless totally necessary) until she at least is up and about. I was planning on calling and telling her, since she was scheduled for 7/24 not 7/23, but she showed anyway. She said she would call to reschedule. When she does-please get her number so we have it on file.
So-PER JEAN, and you can ask her yourself, no housekeeping before breakfast (at least like 9 or so) she doesnt like people being in the house while she sleeps.

July 22 (sunday)
Just have to first say, I hope I am doing this right.
Came in and Bill & Jean had already eaten lunch and relaxing back in the room. They had told Jennifer that they were craving Macayos, so when I came in I took their orders. Jean was actually hungier and wanting more than her usual meals. Surprising. Bill was happy with his normal meal---
Jennifer stopped by with the little guys. Jean had commented that she hasn't seen them in quite some time. They came in and sat right in Bill's lap. He was very happy about the whole thing. Jean flew out of bed, and played with the boys. Kept reminding Bill of their names, real cute. They stayed for about 30minutes, until the boys started saying "Bye Bye-Go home now".
Jean decided to sit in the kitchen and read her "Magazines". Had a glass of ice tea and wanted some quiet time without Bill's TV.
Both Had:

Guacamole
-Plenty of salsa/chips
Bills: ate 100% likes his Macayos
Green Corn Tamale
Frijoles
*cherry pie
Jean: ate about 75% (hearty appetite)

Headed back to the room. Turned down beds, fresh ice water. Jean washed up for bed, changed into night gown, spilt some salsa on clothes-threw into wash. Bill said he would wash up later. Wanted to rest for a bit.
Cleaned up after dinner. Sweep/mop/load dishwasher. Jean came out to show me the new things from Pier One. I think the dishes she was looking for to complete her set are out. Online they only have the white tulip bowl, no black :(
Both stayed up till 9:45pm, I dont think Bill realized the time, otherwise he would have shut off the TV. Came out to inform me the house was hot. I lowered the temp to 73. The house was showing as 78, no wonder i was warm. I swear-only when i am here i feel like I am having hot flashes. But Greg said he would follow up and see why the temp isnt holding well.
Bill finally got into bed @ 10:15pm. Up again to tell me still warm. I told him the house needs a little more to cool. Jean already talking in her sleep about being in a car. Bill informed her that they werent in a car and that she needs to go back to sleep. Bill up again @ 1:30am.

Went back to their bedroom: emptied and refilled bags, made beds, cleaned up Jeans make up area. Did last load of their laundry. Loaded dishwasher.
Jean sitting in kitchen reading, Bill went back to bedroom to watch TV.
Melissa stopped by to pick up her bonus, picked up lunch at QB for them.
1230 eating salad and Reuben and cheesecake.
130pm both resting in room, watching Matlock.
Bill informed me he wants Mexican food tonight, will tell wedad.
Jean all cleaned up, new gown, brushed teeth, changed brief. Had Bill wash up and comb his hair, said he would use shaver later.

SATURDAY WRAP UP
Day went really well, Jean had a great time with Christine, enjoyed her time very much.
Picked up house today, tried to check on suitcase situation for Rancho in scary room in garage. Reminded Jean we really don't ever use suitcases, rather hang and bag her clothes with new garbage bags and lay them flat in car. works out beautifully every year.
Sat with Jean in kitchen for about an hour, she was organizing her new phone book. John called to push Thursday appt back an hour.
Will try to have Jean call her friends in Cali so I can set up her Bridge Club luncheon at the Inn when I get there.
Bill watching a Louie L'Amour movie in bedroom, made him some popcorn and fruit smoothie.
Dinner: Fried Chicken, Mashed potatoes, Corn and biscuit. Ice cream with raspberries
Jean washed up, brushed teeth , changed her nightgown
Had Bill change his clothes, set out his toothbrush and toothpaste, comb and wash cloth, said he would do it in a bit.
Both watching a documentary on Angela Lansbury. Both has fresh water and all their pills.
Cleaned Kitchen thoroughly, cleaned downstairs bathroom, emptied all garbage's, did last load of wash until sheet change tomorrow. Put away all dishes. Refilled all toilet paper, paper towels, OJ, mocha mix, and soaps around the house.
Called One Point Patient care to order more Depends for Jean. They transferred me to Assisted Living voicemail, left message that I was calling for Jean W A S and gave address and phone number and that we needed a case of Depends. In the mean time I scoped out two practically full packages that were in Bill's Bathroom.
PS dishwasher working fine... However there is a caveat... If it does the LOCK situation again, press and hold the NO HEAT button for about 10 sec until it stops blinking .
9pm both watching TV and relaxing.

Night went really well, B/J slept throughout the night, a little talking with Jean and I think Bill was using the Tums bottle as a maraca, lol I asked him this am and he is so quick witted he said "the mariachi band and I have to practice sometime."
Jean up at 745 am Bill still asleep, Jean excited to go to QB for breakfast.

REST OF DAY
Finished with doctor at 3pm, Gave Jean some sunscreen samples, made f/u appt in January 08, on a Friday at 1pm I think its the 18th they will call before to remind us.
Jean wasnt hungry, just wanted to stop at Coffee Bean for Iced tea, got her an Arnold Palmer to go. Asked if she can go to Macy's, so we headed out towards PVmall. On our way there, she wanted to go to Michaels craft store to buy a fern for metal standing pot near thermostat. Then she saw this store called Kirklands, I told her Kirklands was also a catalog. She loved it, to be honest it was really nice things and all very, very reasonable. Especially if you like the Tuscany look. She found some beautiful, glass blown balls that she put in the empty metal stand. She also bought some apple diffusers, I put in Bathrooms, a bedside lamp, and two throw rugs for by her bed and in front of Bill's chair. I put receipts it envelope.
Finished with Kirklands, Jean was wiped but still wanted to go to Macy's. Once we got in car, she said we can make it another day, I think she was hot and tired. Headed home.
Arrived home at 430pm, took jean to br, fresh h2o, and potty. Bill watching TV, with Melissa.
Melissa changed Jean while I unloaded car, and put away all her new things.
Started dinner, skip stopped by, dropped off Bonus checks for all the caregivers. Jean was reading magazines, and I left them alone and went in bedroom sat with Bill and watched Andy Griffith to give them privacy.
Christine called, 1030 am quilted bear breakfast with Jean Saturday.
Dinner at 630
Potroast with carrots and potatoes (they loved it!)
and apple blossom pastries.
8pm Jean requested a shower so she wouldn't be rushed in the am.
Showered her, lotioned all over, powder in her briefs. New gown and blow dried her hair.
All night time pills taken, will do Bills BS in the am, Fresh water for both, they watched Murder she Wrote and turned out the lights at 940pm.

House looking great, dishwasher acting up, but checked on Internet and may have found a solution to it (reset button) hope it works. Bill relaxing comfortably in his chair. Pulled out car got Jean in with a new bottle of water, and we are off.
Arrived at appt, at 1pm had us wait in lobby till 130pm, finally took us back to room where RN informed Jean this was a full cancer screen, Jean became a little upset, as to why she needed it, and who made this for her? and somewhat snappy at RN. RN was really calm, and said it was no one persons fault its just routine checking done every 6 months to screen for cancerous growths, and if Jean wasn't prepared for it today then she can come back when she wants to finish it. Jean said fine do it now. 2pm Jean changed into paper gown, and waited for LeSeur. He finally came in, and immediately said 'okay before we begin I cant do anything about your scars on your arms or your brown spots, we talk about this ad nauseum. " Jean replied well last time you were saying you could fix them. Anyhow he preformed screening on her, found 7 pre-pre-pre- cancerous lesions, that he even thought may be her scratiching, but decided to freeze them off any how. Joan the pool man asked me about it 2 weeks ago, I assured none of us are running outside to disconnect the filter for fun. lol and explained that vacuum gets stuck on the side of the pool and ties itself in a knot. He immediatly blamed that "drunk landscaper'. So I will keep an eye on it. I can imagine it is frustrating.

Hi Ladies...I sure love the blog. Makes it easier for me. The pool guy just called to talk about the pool. Seems that somehow, at least 2-3 times , the pool filter and the pool cleaner have been disconnected and turned off. He said it makes his job just about impossible. Some kind of a hose that is in the filter was also disconnected? I am not sure who is using the pool, and you are all certainly welcome to use it, but please make sure the filtering system and the cleaning system are intact when you are throught. Thanks, Joanie

I arrived @ 3 pm and john the trainer was working with jean ,shortly after John left i was sitting upstairs with jean and somehow she started talking about her doctor appointment the prior day with dr faroqui, where they performed a memory test, which jean told me she passed with flying colors.anyway she then started to get real angry and then told me that someone said that Jennifer and i said that she was losing her mind.i asked her who and she said that she did not want to say, then she asked why i went behind her back and called skip and told him that i thought she was losing her mind, i told jean that i had not spoken to skip since he and joan came over about a month ago to talk to her about rancho sante fee, she than said well then it must have been Jennifer i told her i was pretty sure that she would not do that either.she was very angry and said she was going to bring it up at the dinner that night. Also jean then mentioned the events that had occurred the prior week immediately following their nail appointment .obviously what was meant to be a simple statement of events that had occurred the prior week turned into a federal case.last Friday bill, jean , and i went to a nail salon on camel back amd 16th ,Jennifer met us there ,during their nail appointment jean mentioned to jennifer that she wondered if peir one had the rest of the collection of the Asian decor collection she wanted, jennifer went into peir one while the rest of us were still at the nail salon,after nails we went next door to a sub place sat down and after 10 minutes bill and jean decided that they did not want to eat there,next we went to Wendy's to get bill a burger,per his request and jean a chocolate shake , Jennifer ran in as the drive through line was quite long,still it took a very long time so long that we got the food for free,on the way back we passed the cheesecake factory and Jennifer ran in and got some cheesecake slices,then home we went.apparently some how this info has been misconstrued into that jean went into Pier one shopping, and we all dined in at the cheesecake factory.she was also mad that she thought someone had said this which was not true.Bill and jean really enjoyed bills birthday dinner they were in a very good mood on the way home and for the rest of the evening.bill also laughed alot at dinner which is very nice to see , in my opinion they really loved reminiscing .I was very happy with their enjoyment of the dinner last night.
I arrived @ 3 pm and john the trainer was working with jean ,shortly after John left i was sitting upstairs with jean and somehow she started talking about her doctor appointment the prior day with dr faroqui, where they performed a memory test, which jean told me she passed with flying colors.anyway she then started to get real angry and then told me that someone said that Jennifer and i said that she was losing her mind.i asked her who and she said that she did not want to say, then she asked why i went behind her back and called skip and told him that i thought she was losing her mind, i told jean that i had not spoken to skip since he and joan came over about a month ago to talk to her about rancho sante fee, she than said well then it must have been Jennifer i told her i was pretty sure that she would not do that either.she was very angry and said she was going to bring it up at the dinner that night. July 19th Happy Birthday Bill!!!
I am posting from home-
Bill woke up at 7:30am, Jean slept until about 11:00am. Christine called to wish Bill a happy birthday while he was eating breakfast. Dudley called while Jean was eating breakfast. Both Bill and Jean spoke with Dudley for awhile.
Cleaned house, did all laundry, emptied trash cans, swept, and the mopped. Melissa, I am sorry I forgot to put the bucket away. Got Jean into the shower at 1:15pm in preparation for John. Bill took a shower after Jean.
John at the house by 2:15. Bill and I unwrapped packages from Lynn's. Jean picked out the shirts with the assistance of Lynn, but they wanted it to be a surprise for Bill. Jean and Lynn ended up picking out shirts that Bill would never wear. Heavy Linen shirts and alot of long sleeves. He said to me "don't tell Jean, but I don't like these." So after I left the house, I stopped by Lynn's returned the 3 shirts Bill hated and asked her to cut the sleeves off 3 other shirts. They should be ready some time next week.
Before I left, AJ's delivered a beautiful arrangement of flowers for Bill's b-day from Amanda.
Melissa arrived and I informed her of all that has been happening and told her how to access the notes here on blogspot.

July 18 part 2
2:30PM Dr. Farooqui appointment, Jean had her weight, blood pressure, heart rate, pulse and oxygen intake checked. Jean has lost 6 pounds in a month. In the hospital she weighed 124lb and now 118lb. I think there are 2 contributing factors to her weight loss. 1- she was ill with diarrhea and vomiting for quite awhile and because of it, has laid off her hershey's bars.= weight loss.
Dr. F- did an evaluation of her memory. Asked her several questions and tested her thoroughly for any signs of memory loss. He said she passed with flying colors and got a 100% on all questions. He did not see a need for her to see a neurologist, at that point I excused myself from the room and called Joan. Joan told me that Skip really wants Jean to be seen and to ask for a referral anyways. I spoke with Farooqui and he said that was fine he would give her a referral and his office would set it up for us. I also got the prescription for the Lovenox to take on the plane. THE PRESCRIPTION IS IN THE DRAWER WITH THE AIRLINE TICKETS. Bill also asked for his weight to be checked 255lb, and blood pressure fine.
Side note- Charlae worked on Bill and Jean today. She did a rub down on Bill and I guess rubbed to vigorously. She pulled off one of the keratosis(skin clumps) on his shoulder and I didn't notice he was bleeding until I got to the doctors office. He had blood all over his shirt. It wasn't serious, but b/c of the coumadin he bleeds profusely. I asked Carly at Farooqui's to clean him up and bandage him. She did.
After the doctors appointment- Jean and I took Bill to get "the works" haircut, shave, nose hair trim, ear hair trim, hot towel etc. While Bill was busy getting worked on, Jean and I strolled over to Coldwater Creek. She bought purses and clothes.
Early dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, quick trip to Pier One and then Target. Stocked on all supplies. Home by 8:00pm- Both watching tv, gave pills and fresh water. Lights off at 9:40pm

July 18
The night went smoothly- showered Jean before bed.
Lights out at 9:00pm
Jean talked throughout the night and Bill woke her up several times, to tell her she was dreaming.
9:30AM- French Toast, bacon, apple juice, OJ, and pills. Both read the paper while they ate, and Jean stayed at the table until 11am waiting for Charlae. We finally gave up and Jean went back to her bedroom.
12:30pm- Charlae called and said she is on her way. Arrived 5 minutes later.
** Dishwasher is locked, I looked at the manual and played with all buttons, can't figure out how to unlock, so I unloaded all dishes and washed by hand.
***Placed a grocery order but forgot trash bags and dishwasher tabs. We will stop at Target today to pick up items and get baby monitors for Rancho.
**On schedule for today- 2:30 Farooqi's, V's for a b-day haircut and shave, Jean and I will probably walk to Coldwater, Chico's or J.Crew while Bill is getting his hair done. Afterward we are going to Pier One and Target then an early dinner.
I will call the caddy dealership to schedule an oil change and tune-up for tomorrow if possible.

July 17th
1pm- Arrived at Clearwater, I took the liberty of picking up Bill's b-day gifts from Exclusively Big and Tall. Lynn wrapped everything up beautifully and it was all ready to go when I arrived.
Jean asked Bill to try on the new shoes, so he unwrapped both pair and tried them on, both shoes look great on him and they fit very nicely.
Talked to Jean about the schedule for tomorrow- Charlae in the morning, then Dr. Farooqui, and then a Birthday haircut and shave for Bill.
Jean thought the haircut and shave was a great idea, and wanted to know what the Farooqui apointment was about. I told her it was a follow-up, that he wanted to see her before her vacation and that we were going to ask the doctor for a prescription for the Lovenox to take on the plane. I also told her that we were going to ask dr. F about her recent mood swings, and some short term memory lapse. She agreed that she was cranky, for a few weeks following her release from the hospital and she wasn't sure why. She said she felt fine now, but agreed it is not a bad idea to make sure everything is functioning properly. Jean is absolutely comfortable with the idea of seeing a neurologist, as a preventative measure, so there will be no need to ask Farooqui on the d.l. I will try to get an appointment before August for the neurologist if possible. Does Jean have a neurologist that she has used in the past.
