Oct.23 and 24 Ruth

Wedad out/Ruth In- Wedad thoroughly filled me in on what has been going on for the week. She told me everything was fairly quiet except for some confusion about the new thumb brace John insists Jean needs. Wedad told me that she didn't have a chance to take Jean to get fitted for the new brace, because of John appointments on Monday, so I needed to take her. Wedad also told me that we were out of alot of the grocery basics. Said goodbye to Wedad and went in to say hello to Bill and Jean, both looked content, but Jean is very worried about Dudley and the wildfires in California, it was the first thing she told me about. She also asked about my boys, I told her 2 weeks ago that they were traveling to the East Coast for a tournament and she asked me how they did. It was great that she remembered such a thing over a long period of time.

I then made lunch, boiled some eggs for egg salad sandwiches, it took some time so lunch wasn't served until 3pm. Both quiet until dinner, attempt to make a steak in the oven with mushroom sauce, big mistake!!! The meat was really tough, Bill and Jean ate the baked potato and veggies instead. After dinner- Jean called Matt Nisson to check on his family and Peggy. They are fine. She then called Don and Dodo Kennedy, they are also fine. We tried to reach Dudley but the circuits were down and out of commission. Back to their room, nothing was on TV so we put a DVD in that was from Netflix. Lights out by 10pm.

Breakfast- hash browns, scrambled eggs, pancakes, cinnamon rolls... coffee, apple juice. Fleming's pest control came by. Jean and I made up a grocery list and Jean decided we should stop at AJ's at some point to get HoneyCrisp Apples that she read about in the newspaper, also wanted ham salad, chicken salad and lamb chops. I placed a Safeway order as well, will be delivered on Thursday morning.
After ordering groceries, I made a quick lunch and got Jean in the shower. Jean is a bit wobbly on her feet today, she noticed as well and I asked her if she was sure she wanted to go out today and she said "of course." Got her to wear her jeans today and I put the foot brace on her with the special shoes so that she would stay as balanced as possible. I asked Bill to take a shower and told him I was going downstairs to get ready. I went downstairs and heard him turn on the shower, (didn;t bother to shave or brush his teeth), got in the shower and washed for about 20 seconds. This is becoming a chronic problem, he refuses to take a decent shower, any suggestions??? Helped him button his pants, went to pull the car out of the garage and made a quick phone call to the Arthritis office that we were headed to. I asked for Micheal, to tell him that we were on our way and he wanted to give me corner by corner directions from Clearwater to his office, he got real snippy with me when I told him I only wanted the cross streets. He was really rude. We got to the office, he helped Jean with the "glove" made of neoprene and not much else and decided that it wouldn't be beneficial for Jean, referred us to CVS pharmacy at Scottsdale and Shea. Went to CVS, I ran in and bought 2 different types, I will show both to John and return whichever we don;t need.
Went to the Bamboo Club for dinner, then to AJ's, Jean saw some really cute flowers for Joan we had them wrapped and we delivered them to Skip and Joan;s after.
