Jan 3rd Ruth

Busy day today- Both slept late, Bill was up at 8:45am and Jean didn't rise and shine until 11am. Bill ate breakfast alone in the kitchen while I dismantled the Christmas decorations. Got the majority of the stuff down and put away, every time I think I am done I find four more things to put away.
At noon Jean was still in the kitchen eating breakfast when John strolled in, he said he had an appointment but I saw nothing on the calender about John showing up. We had a plan to go to Farooqui's for a Coumadin check, but John wanted to work out with Jean for at least 20 minutes. I got Bill in the shower and, by the time I looked at the clock it was too late, I told John we had to get going, but we didn't make it to Farooqui's in time.

I will do the Coumadin check on Tuesday morning, I will come in early to take Bill to the lab for his blood work and then swing by Farooqui's afterward. Wedad make sure Bill fasts, no drinks, food or pills prior to the test.

Carson came to pick us up at 3pm to take us to Dr. Bahu's office, we made it on time, they took Bill right in to the office. Tested his defibrillator, then did an EKG. After that we waited and waited... I think Melissa had a similar experience the last time she and Bill went to that particular doctor. Anyways we finally saw a Dr. Tendler who is a colleague of Dr. Bahu, he basically reiterated what we already knew. Bill's heart is not functioning properly, his two chambers are not beating simultaneously as a normal heart would and therefore it is stressing his heart beyond capacity and putting stress on his lungs. His heart squeeze is a 35, a normal person's heart will squeeze at a 70. Dr. Tenderler suggested that if the angiogram shows no improvement then they should add a "lead" to the other side of his heart to get it the 2 chambers to beat simultaneously. We have another appointment with his office on Jan 24Th at 4pm.

We left the office dropped off Carson, drove home to take potty breaks and then went to Target. Target was completely sold out of the Nintendo Ds- Indian Bend has 6 in stock but Bill said he was "pooped." Picked up a to go order from Red Lobster, Bill left his wallet at home so I used my credit card. Got home, Bill hardly ate his dinner, he is really exhausted from what little we did. His difficulty breathing is really taking a toll on him and it is taking him longer and longer to catch his breath, it was so bad today that he couldn't even talk after we got back to the car. I really hope this surgery gives him some relief, anything at this point has got to help him.

Please if we have any appointments or people coming to the house, write it down in the calender. Today was the second time some one has come to the house and I had no idea they were coming because it wasn't written down. The last time it was Charlae.
