Arrived at 9am to take Jean to the lab for blood work. She was very upset and wanted to get over with as soon as possible. We had some trouble as Jean predicted, the first girl couldn't find any veins and poke Jean a few times before she finally gave up. The next woman came in and poked around but finally got all the blood that she needed from Jean.
We quickly ran out of there, I asked Jean what she would like to do today, she said she would like to go to Penney's and some other places. We headed down to Tempe....I wanted to see the new Marketplace. We had lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen and then went shopping. She got Bill some sweater vests, Skip a sweater, some sweaters and shirts for herself and a coat with little sparklys. After that we walked to Target and got a new battery for her Xmas watch. While she sat at the jewelry counter waiting for the battery to be fixed, she perused some jewelry that she had to have. I went to the restroom and left her with the M/C. She bought 4 pieces, 2 of them can definitely go back. They aren't hideous for Target, but they definitely look like they could fall apart. Boxes are in her bathroom with Tags, receipt is near the toaster oven for returns later.
We went to the shoe pavilion where she bought shoes, hats, socks, peds and tried to get a few high heels, but I told her no way.. they were too unsafe and Dr. Campbell would not approve. She agreed and we left the heels.
After we went to the World Market, bought quite a lot of things. The majority of it will be returned this weekend. She bought some musical instruments, more wreaths and berries. The things in the last sentence are to be returned.
We went to the best nail salon that we have ever been too. The girls were fabulous, the salon clean and peaceful. Even though it is in Tempe it is so worth the drive, they were great. Massaged Jean's feet and legs for at least 20 minutes, she actually fell asleep in the chair.
After the nail salon, we drove to Phoenix and sat in traffic for awhile. I wanted to give Jean time to dry. Went to ULTA and spent way too much..... Many of these items will also be returned this weekend. Perfumes, overpriced hair products, lotions etc. We over did it at ULTA and about half of the stuff is going back. I explained it all to Jean and she totally agrees.
Then Sportsmans, bought wine for John, Skip, and Christopher. John gets the one that has a silver cap. It is the cheaper version. Stopped at Jack in the Box for Bill's hamburger and onion rings and came home.
Wedad and I emptied and washed all cupboards, they were infested with ANTS..... half eaten candy bars and granola bars are the culprit. Please do not put half eaten stuff back in the cupboard and wipe down the syrup before putting it back in.
All of us slept well.
Wedneseday--
I expected a quite day, but had no luck. Jean wanted to move things around, put up more lights on her balcony, wrap gifts etc.
Did 5 boxes of Bill's pills- all have 6 mg of Coumadin. If Farooqui changes it again, please switch out Coumadin. We currently have 5mg and 6mg in the drawer.
Dishwasher dude here at 2pm. Monitor on the front of the dishwasher is broken again, they will not be back until the 26th of December. So we have a few weeks of handwashing to go.
Thursday-
Fed Bill and Jean and then scrubbed both of them down in the shower.
Dr. Khaleds office called to let me know that they received the results for Jean's blood test. Everything looks fine, and they will see us on Tuesday.
Took Jean to Bday girls with Bill. We met Christine there and she will bring Jean home.
Feel better Joan. See you next week.
Have a good weekend everyone.
