FRIDAY9TH SATURDAY 10TH JENNIFER

Arrived at 11am on Friday, Jean sitting in kitchen, eating breakfast, Bill starting to get ready to go to Dr. F to pick up stool for guiac test, and go to V's. Bill slow to get ready, asked for cereal after massive breakfast Melissa had made him. Reminded him about Dr. Khalids suggestion that he cut back a little, but he insisted he is very hungry. Gave him small bowl of cereal and more decaf. Continued to prompt him to get ready. 1145, we finally left, I had doubts we would reach Farooqui in time, but headed that way anyhow. As I suspected the office closed, even though I could hear them talking in the door, they didn't open, the main foyer had a note that they will be closed on Monday the 12th in observance of Veterans day which is Sunday.

Bill a little ancey, wanted to use the men's room, took him inside the foyer to a bathroom, he was very very unsteady on his feet. Had him sit a about 5 min and got him water to drink. We left and he wanted to head over to JB, went to bank and we inquired as to why the ATM cards don't work or only work sporadically, the girl there was really unhelpful, she was not comprehending that Bill doesn't know his account numbers, or his ssn or the date his accounts where open or how many he has and the last deposit.... I was aggravated, so I took her aside and said he is elderly and his son takes care of all his finances, he just wants to know why the ATM card never works, and your demeaning him by asking him 8 questions that he keeps telling you I cant remember. SO this really nice lady receptionist had this girl Imelda help us, who was more than happy to help Bill just with the info on his license. She reset the pin to the last four of the home number, she had us activate it in the ATM, well it ate it 4 times ! it kept saying invalid pin your card has been retained. So she determined it was a bad batch of cards JB had issued and many many customers have complained. SO she will send out new cards.

We headed over to V's after the bank fiasco, Bill retailed how easy it use to be to get your own money out, and told me about his dad Frank and the banking business of the early 1900's. V's was really packed! Friday at 130 is not a good time to go. The barber was nice enough to ask a few patrons to allow Bill to go ahead. Bill had the royal treatment!. He had the whole VIP with facial and shoe shine! he was really happy and his barber and him talked the whole time about California, and gliders and baseball. Bill was really perky when we left.

Headed home, as Melissa called she was about to make lunch for Jean and wanted to know how far we where. Home.. arrived and Maria was mopping the hall way, so I was going to take him to the Laundry room way, but it too was wet, started walking with Bill and he said, I cant I cant I cant stand, I'm going down I'm falling, I immediately put my knee under the seat of his pants and grabbed him in case I had to slide him to the ground, its hard as Bill wants to hold on so tight to your wrist, which makes it hard to try to "save" him from falling or at least safely slide him to the ground. Fortunately Maria had front door open, and I asked her to give me the new red walker, so I can flip it around for Bill. I was able to get him to the chair to rest, I asked him what happened?, did you feel dizzy? or out of breath? He said his knees just give out suddenly and he wants to go right down. I asked if he feels woozy at all and he said he doesn't feel winded or dizzy, just literally as if someone knocked his knees out from under his legs. Melissa served him his lunch and Jean was really badgering him that he doesn't move or exercise etc, I felt bad for him as he looked really scared, understandably. I wanted to have Melissa shower Jean, as she wanted to go to SAKS, but Maria had just started Jeans bathroom. They ate lunch and Bill started for the bathroom, I ran to watch him, he used the walker and did just fine.

4pm. Jean wanted to get out of the house, she was disappointed in missing shopping with Cookie on the 7th due to Bills numerous appointments. So Melissa took her down to the Mills outlet, as she can do much less damage there than at Saks retail store.. and no make up/ skin care counters there.

They came back at 9pm, Jean had a ball!. She really enjoyed her time out and was telling me everything she saw. She didn't do much damage.. for Jean, she bought a brown swing dress, a really nice velour track suit, and some sandals, a couple leather purses from Wilsons and leather and leather fur trimmed gloves too (for skiing) (that's what she told Melissa) They went and had a some dinner at an old fashioned dinner/soda shop in the Mills mall, which Jean just adored and said it reminded her of places she and Bill went as teens.

She wanted to continue shopping but couldn't as her eyes are really really bad! Melissa told she aughta call it a day and get home, take a benydryl and wash off all her eye makeup. When she walked in the door it look like someone took red lipstick and circled around her eyes. Melissa changed her and got her wash clothes to soak off makeup, today its a million times better, I think we need to switch to Almay for sensitive eyes. Melissa brought in the packages, and left receipts in the fishbowl and said good night to them at 930.

Both are doing really well, I can see that they are worn out from a very long week of running around, but Jean glad she was able to get out to Target the other day (PS tons of new Xmas stuff in the scary room for decorating) and the Mills mall. Both had a large breakfast this am and reading Sat paper.
